Greenbone is one of the few manufacturers that builds on open source solutions and is actively involved in the open source community. The manufacturer supports the open source project OpenVAS, which is also used in Greenbone solutions.

How can the GSM support me with compliance requirements?

With the Greenbone GSM Vulnerability Management solution, you are able to create reports in a matter of seconds in compliance with regulations such as BSI IT Grundschutz, PCI-DSS and ISO 27001. Thanks to the simple HTTPS-based administration and customizable APIs, such as Active Directory and Nagios, you can integrate the GSM solution into your existing IT infrastructure.

What is a vulnerability management solution?

Vulnerabilities refer to unpatched security gaps in IT. This could be an Adobe Reader or Flash version that has not been updated or the very frequently used JAVA. With a vulnerability management solution, you are able to scan your systems and check them against known vulnerabilities. Greenbone's own scan engine is used here, which performs up to 64,000 vulnerability scans and also adheres to the known vulnerability standards CVE, CPE and CVSS.
A vulnerability management solution analyzes your network and shows you open vulnerabilities, but does not fix them.

What is included in this product?
