Sophos UTM 9.6 WebAdmin - dialog boxes
Sophos
Dialogue boxes are special input masks in WebAdmin where you are asked to enter certain information. The example shows a dialogue box for creating a new group in the menu Definitions & Users > Users & Groups.
Each dialogue box can consist of various control elements (widgets) such as text fields or check boxes. Many dialogue boxes also offer drag-and-drop functionality, which is indicated by a special background with the lettering DND. Whenever you find such a field, you can drag and drop an object into it. To open the object list from which you can drag the object into the field, click on the yellow folder symbol directly next to the text field. Depending on the respective configuration option, the list opens with the available network, service, user/group or period definitions. A click on the green plus symbol opens a dialogue window in which you can create a new definition. Some control elements that are not needed for a particular configuration are greyed out. In some cases these can be edited, but then they have no effect.
Note - In the WebAdmin there are, among others, the buttons Save and Apply. The Save button is always displayed when you create or edit an object in WebAdmin, for example when you create a new static route or edit network definitions. It is always displayed together with a Cancel button. The Apply button, on the other hand, is used to transfer your settings to the backend and thereby make them effective immediately.
