With the Sophos XG86 and Sophos XG106, Sophos offers new firewalls that will replace the Sophos XG85 and Sophos XG105. One of the things that has changed is the available memory. For both devices, this has been increased from 2GB to 4GB. Secondly, the internal memory of the XG86 has been increased from 8GB to 16GB eMMC memory.
Sophos has also announced that the previous XG85 and XG105 firewalls will go into end of sale from 15 June 2019. This means that only remaining stock will then be sold while supplies last. In addition, when licences are renewed, only 1 and 2 year licences will be available. This is happening because the XG85 and XG105 will go into end-of-life from 17 August 2022. The last renewal date will be 17 August 2021, when only 1-year renewals will be available.
The Sophos SG105 will not be affected by this change and will continue to be available in its current form.

After the end-of-sale, the old products will no longer be available, there will then only be licenses until the end-of-life.
Of course, Sophos will provide support under a valid support and warranty contract until end-of-life. An extension of support beyond the end-of-life is not possible.
